Wat Thong Sala Ngam

Wat Thong Sala Ngam is a private monastery temple affiliated with the Maha Nikaya Sangha, located in Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok. The temple occupies a land area of 20 rai.

Established as a temple in the year 2300 B.E., it was originally named Wat Thong Lang and sometimes referred to as Wat Thong. In 2320 B.E., it received the royal bestowal of Wisungkhamsima, and the most recent bestowal took place on May 20, 2548 B.E., during the reign of King Rama IX, King Nang Klao Chao Yu Hua. Local villagers rowed a boat through Khlong Bang Luang and came across a beautiful pavilion by the riverside. It is speculated that the temple's name originated from this waterfront pavilion. Due to the dilapidated condition of the original waterfront pavilion, it was subsequently demolished, and the pediment of the waterfront pavilion was used as the pediment of the sermon pavilion instead.

The ubosot, measuring 11.75 meters wide and 21.25 meters long, is constructed in the Thai architectural style using bricks and mortar. Inside the new ubosot, there is an enshrined Buddha image in the posture of giving blessings, known as Phra Buddha Rattanakosin. The sermon hall, with dimensions of 10 meters wide and 21 meters long, is built with wood.

The temple also features nine monk's cloisters, with two built with wood and six constructed as half-timbered structures.
